Press release from For Ukraine, for their freedom and ours!
The national collective "Together on February 24th", which already includes around one hundred associations, unions and organizations spread across all regions, including the Union of Ukrainians in France, is calling for a major popular mobilization in defense of Ukraine, on the second anniversary of the start of the war led by Russia.
On February 24, 2022, Putin ordered the invasion of Ukraine and began his terrorist enterprise.
Faced with Russia's imperialist expansionism, we call on all French and European leaders to immediately provide the financial and military aid that Ukraine vitally needs to ensure victory and prevent the war from spreading to other countries in Europe.
We demand the withdrawal of the Russian army from Ukrainian territory, which must return to its internationally recognized borders; the return home of the deported Ukrainian population, children and prisoners of war; as well as the trial of war criminals.
We call on citizens, democratic forces and organizations, parties, unions, associations, to GATHER ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 24, everywhere in France, in order to loudly affirm our support for Ukraine.
Today, helping Ukraine means arming Ukraine.
